Objects of Desire: Nars x Christopher Kane Collection

I'm not usually one to be drawn in by limited edition collections but this one from Nars and Christopher Kane has well and truly caught my attention. The eye shadows are particularly beautiful, they impart a sheer wash of colour that's filled with iridescent glitter. You have to swatch them to truly appreciate them. The blusher is highlighter pink in the pan and seriously pigmented when swatched, it translates surprisingly well onto the cheeks and seems to look very flattering on a range of skintones. The lip glosses bring the collection together really nicely, the bright pink and orange are the stand outs to me. Usually there's one stand out from a limited edition collection, but all of these products have quickly shot to the top of my wishlist.

What do you think of the collection?

Objects of Desire: Diptyque Rosafolia Candle

I think this might just be the prettiest candle I've ever seen. I just love the rose and leaf illustrations surrounding the jar, plus it smells amazing. It has notes of Rose and Geranium, it's very floral without being at all powdery, it's incredibly fresh and modern and I absolutely love it. There's also a 'multiuse fragrance' in the same scent, a massive 200ml for £55. The candle is £44 and is currently sitting at the very top of my wishlist!

Christmas Gift Guide - Under £100

These blusher/highlighter hybrids leave cheeks with a natural looking flush that never looks overdone. These's also a great selection of shades and the packaging is beautiful. Almost to pretty to use!

I love rings with delicate bands, they look so flattering when worn. This one would work equally well with a jeans and tee as it would with an evening dress.

A plain black jumper is a staple in everyone's wardrobe but why not get someone a really nice quality one that will last. This cozy mohair one from whistles is really well made and feels a little bit more luxe.

What would a p&p gift guide be without a delicate gold necklace? This one has a pretty rectangular agate and would make a great addition to anyone's jewellery collection.

Jo Malone fragrances are such a luxury, and when combined the possibilities are endless. I think a lot of people would love the idea of being able to wear their own unique scent, this mini cologne set would be a great way to do that. It's also a great way of trying a few of their scents before investing in a full sized bottle.

I love the bright royal blue shade of this little bag, perfect for stuffing with makeup and 'girlie stuff' and throwing into your handbag.

This is definitely a palette that any beauty addict will swoon over, it has a selection of 6 eyeshadows, a lipstick, a lip gloss, a blusher and a face powder all in a beautiful zip up wallet.

Cosy winter warmers always go down well at christmas and this cashmere snood would be a real treat. The neutral knit and colour means it will be worn and loved for many winters to come.

This skincare set is definitely one for someone who already loves high end skincare but wants to try something even more special. It has a great range of their most popular products and is a great way to try them all before investing in the (very expensive) full sized versions!

This beautiful, limited edition candle has notes of white neroli, mimosa and lemon as well as freshly cut grass. Perhaps not the most seasonally appropriate but the ceramic vessel and 18k gold guilding designed by Jenny Packham is just to good too pass up!

I hope you liked this gift guide, if you fancy seeing my under £50 and under £25 edits you can see them here and here. Have any of these items made their way onto your wish list?

Object of Desire: Rachel Zoe Shiloh Cutout Jumpsuit

It's no secret I love pieces I consider to be 'wardrobe essentials'. Although a jumpsuit isn't necessarily something that would fall into that category I absolutely love this one for how versatile it is. It could easily be dressed up or down and I can definitely see it becoming something I'd wear for a long time!

Objects of Desire - Kate Spade New York Cherry Lane Stacy Wallet

I spotted this the other day and immediately fell for it, the bright, neon coral shade is just stunning. For some reason I like the idea of this blindingly bright purse being tucked away in a neat, smart, plain black bag. Anyone else with me on that?

Objects of Desire

I'm a regular browser of the 'New In' page on the Sephora website, usually because it gives me a heads up on new launches before they hit us here in the UK. I spotted this lovely travel brush set during my last browse and just had to mention it. There are 6 different interchangeable brush heads and one handle, great for saving space, they attach themselves magnetically too so there's no faffing about.

I've tried a few brushes from Sephora before and been very impressed with the quality, I also like the look of all these brushes, there isn't one that I think I wouldn't use so this set has firmly been placed on my wish list!

Object of Desire: Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium Leather Satchel

When it comes to bags I usually gravitate towards the black, boxy, minimal ones. They just look so smart and put together that they'll always be my go to. They can however look a bit severe come the weekend or more casual days when you just want to sling something over your shoulder. For such days I've been on the look out for something more fitting, I looked at one from The Cambridge Satchel Company but quickly decided it was a bit too structured for my liking, I then looked at the Mulberry Alexa which I do like but I'm always spotting them when I'm out and about and I just want something a bit different. The Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium Leather Satchel fits the bill perfectly, not too structured, not too slouchy and just the right size. I better start saving!

Valentine's Day Gift Guide - For Him

Every guy should have a good quality holdall, they can be used as hand luggage on long haul flights, business trips and of course on romantic weekends away. God forbid he tries to take a smelly old gym bag!

This retro style badger hair shaving kit will look great in the bathroom and will bring out his inner bond!

Give his high tech gadget a nostalgic retro twist with an arcade dock that is sure to keep him out of trouble!

All his skincare needs in one, this set contains a glycolic cleanser, pre-shave oil, shave cream and after shave balm.

If like mine, the guy in your life is a Bond fan, he'll love this vintage black and white print.

Fragrance is a classic option, either top up his stocks of his all time favourite and surprise him with something new!

I'm sure the boys would appreciate a little blue box as much as the girls! These cufflinks manage to be a bit different without being to blingy.

A retro pair of sunnies with a modern twist, I love the dove grey!

A photography book of London's 100 most famous landmarks, full of ideas of things to do!

Valentine's Day Gift Guide - For Her

Of course you can get her red roses but they are ridiculously overpriced around Valentine's Day and they're not particularly original. Why not get a pretty seasonal bouquet in colours that she likes? I love this one from from next flowers. M&S do some lovely ones too.

Perfume is always a good choice and you just can't go wrong with Jo Malone, there's one for everyone! This one is my favourite.

This classic, black shoulder bag with a long strap is definitely a wardrobe essential. It will work day or evening and with smart or casual outfits. Plus it's a great price for a well made designer bag. Also available in nude.

You can't beat a gift that comes in a little blue box and these earrings are a classic that will last a lifetime.

If your gal is a makeup addict you can't get much better than a limited edition Nars palette, this one contains their best selling blusher and bronzer as well as a lovely highlighter.

I love a cute animal card and sea otters are my absolute favourite, they're just so darn cute!

Bubbles are a must on Valentine's Day so why not try out a pink version?

These are a real delicious threat that no one can really justify buying for themselves, and they come in a really pretty box which you can use for keepsakes and jewellery afterwards.

As with the Nars palette this is a lovely limited edition eyeshadow palette that would make any beauty addict drool! It's a 9 pan palette with a combination of matt and shimmery shades.
